Gay Games 2010: Uniforms and Trading Pins

One of the most exciting moments of the Games is the Opening Ceremonies and Team DC has coordinated a beautiful shirt to be worn. Our thanks to J Ford Huffman of the DC Frontrunners who designed the shirt and the special logo that will be used for the Trading Pin as well as featured on the shirt. You may have seen his Team DC "Sydney" design and his work for the DC Front Runners, Federal Triangles and DC Strokes as well as his design as the brand image of the 2004 Marine Corps Marathon. This is another Gold Medal Design from J Ford!

In addition to being colorful and unique, it is made from a DryTex Wickaway Poly blend that is lightweight, cool and high quality (No wool berets this year....promise!) You can easily use this shirt in your competition if you like. Sizes are XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL and are unisex in sizing. We recommend that you order a size smaller than normal as the shirts tend to fit "big". Some people prefer that, but if you normally wear a Medium, we would recommend a Small, etc.

The Trading Pins will be 1.25" in dimension and be a copy of the "Koln-Wash" design. (Koln is the German spelling of Cologne, btw.) These are always popular items to trade or just give away to new friends you meet. Trading your pins is a great way to approach someone you might not otherwise!

The cost of the uniform is $25 and will consist of the shirt and at least two trading pins. (We must sell at least 50 shirts to reach the next price break level. If we do, we will "sweeten" the package with additional trading pins.) PayPal will be used to process payments. Choose your size on the right.

Even if you don't plan to attend the Gay Games, you are welcome to order a shirt or some Trading Pins. We will also have Pins and (if supplies last) additional 2010 Shirts on sale at the Kick-Off Party on July 15 at Nellie's.

One thing to keep in mind about the Uniforms and Opening Ceremonies: Having a uniform look helps establish our team identity and just plain looks better. Those without the official shirt will be asked to march at the back of the contingent. You will actually enjoy this shirt for years to come, so we sincerely hope you will order the shirt.
