Adventuring is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to encourage participation in non-competitive and recreational outdoor activities such as Hiking, Biking (Recreational), Camping, Backpacking and other activities such as cabin trips; skydiving; rafting, sailing and canoeing; skiing and ice skating, etc. Trips, tours and events are open to anyone who enjoys the experience of the outdoors. Orienteering is an outdoor sport in which participants use a topographic map and compass to navigate to a series of checkpoints. Quantico Orienteering Club hosts orienteering events at venues throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area and surrounding counties. Events are designed to accommodate everyone, from beginners with no experience, to skilled competitive athletes, and welcome all races, genders, and sexual orientations.
